De band tussen The Pearl Harts bestond reeds voordat ze ooit samen hadden gespeeld. Kristy en Sara ontmoetten elkaar tijdens het toeren, elk in een andere band, maar lieten al snel hun vorige levens achter zich en zo begonnen de zelfverklaarde ‘outlaws’ aan hun nieuwe project. Hun verlangen naar zwaardere muziek leverde hen een explosieve live track en bijhorende video op. ‘Black Blood’ trok dan ook meteen de aandacht van XFM, Clash, Artrocker en BBC Introducing. Het rockduo The Pearl Harts was een feit en stond voortaan bekend om haar wilde attitude, DIY-mentaliteit en ongelofelijke liveshows. Beschreven als “the love-child of PJ Harvey and Nine Inch Nails” en “Queens Of The Stone Age played by The Runaways”, hebben de twee vrouwen het hart van vele fans in het Verenigd Koninkrijk en Europa veroverd met hun rauwe energie en hun intense vertolkingen.

Hard rockin’ south-east London duo release debut single
The Pearl Harts, a female rock and heavy blues duo based in London, are releasing their first single, Skeleton Made Of Diamonds, on Monday. The band feature Kirsty (lead vocals /guitar/ loops) and Sara (drums / vocals / samples), who met on the road whilst touring with other bands.
“Skeleton Made Of Diamonds is our debut single”, say the band. “The lyrics were originally inspired by a friend who survived a pretty horrific accident — we said at the time his skeleton must be made of diamond because he seemed indestructible! The song is all about invincibility and strength in the face of adversity. Musically it’s got everything of a signature Pearl Harts song: fat bluesy riffs, pounding drums and blended harmonies. We shot the music video Abney Park Cemetery in Stoke Newington to create a British horror inspired short-film”
